Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) is a knowledge center offering multidisciplinary extracurricular education opportunities and a platform for exchanging ideas in Hungary, and across the Carpathian Basin since 1996.

Through launching its MCC Visiting Fellowship Program, we aim to contribute to the Hungarian scientific community by inviting internationally recognized and outstanding researchers from all around the world.

 Who can apply?

We welcome applications from all research areas with preference given to: Political Science, International Relations, Law, Economics, Social Sciences, Psychology, Media, History and Philosophy and Environmental Studies.

Prospective fellows can apply in two categories: junior fellows (under the age of 35) and senior fellows (above the age of 35) for a period of 2 weeks to 12 months.

 What do we offer?

The fellow will take part in MCC’s academic, research and teaching activity as well as writing publications, essays, research papers for recognized periodicals and actively get involved in the Hungarian public life.

The MCC Visiting Fellowship Program is a fully-funded opportunity with a monthly stipend of up to 5000 EUR for junior fellows and up to 10000 EUR for senior fellows. We aim to provide a predictable funding model. The fellowship’s financial assistance covers:

  • roundtrip flight to and from Budapest,
  • health insurance,
  • visa costs if applicable,
  • a monthly stipend,
  • housing,
  • office space, and dedicated international conference support.

A family-centered approach is important to the MCC, so the fellows are eligible for childcare and other family benefits.

 How can I apply?

The application period is open for 3 weeks every six months. During these periods, the application can be submitted on the website, followed by an oral discussion.

The registration is open from December 4, 2020 until December 31, 2020.
